As part of the University of Manchester’s “Project Unity”, Gariff were appointed to fit-out this prominent drum-shaped building on the city’s busy Oxford Road. Development included interior works to three seven storey atriums, two lecture theatres, classrooms, reception & restaurant areas. Specialist in-house manufacturing comprised of acoustic value panelling that was first tested at Salford University’s Acoustic Test & Calibration Laboratory to ensure customer requirements were met before installation. Upwards of 1200 QMark Fire Rated and acoustic performance doorsets were also manufactured and installed with security access control. The main 1000-seat lecture theatre also features an innovative sliding acoustic door system allowing separation into two auditoria.
