LOCATION: Manchester Town Hall & Central Library, UK
Gariff were involved with the Citizen Manchester project encompassing the extension transformation of Manchester Central Library and Town Hall. Works to the library included a custom-built feature wall with curved oak veneered reading pods, leather upholstered seating, back-lit Corian® feature inlays and interactive media suites. The prominent Oculus ceiling feature was built on-site and suspended above the visitor information point. CNC perforated wall panels were also manufactured in-house illustrating historical maps of the city. Work on the Town Hall included manufacture & installation of timber & fabric wall panelling, construction of new meeting pods, bespoke-made fitted furniture & reception desks and creation of a new media lounge.
